I recently discovered this "Blog Network" website, which I think will be of interest to any kind of crafter out there. With topics ranging from knitting and sewing to recycled crafts and edible crafts, you can read all the posts together or just the ones that interst you, and you can subscribe to the rss feed of just the topics you're into. As the name suggests, this site is about sharing crafty stuff (or gossip) found around the web rather than posting new projects or how-to's, but it's great for...

The designers of PONO whose modern line of jewelry have graced the pages of Bazaar magazine as well as Cosmo, Essence, and Teen Vogue have turned their attention- hoping to advertise for something other than just fashion. PONO has started the "Give, Love, Practice Peace" campaign in which pieces of their new fall line represent specific causes such as The Climate Project, Give a Girl a Chance, and the Natural Resources Defense.
Representing the charities they admire, PONO designs a special...

I was inspired to create something that could hold my necklaces in a pretty and chic way and that would be easily transportable when I moved from my apartment (less drilling in the walls). After finding these two great ideas on Whip Up and SFgirlbybay, I made my own. It was so simple to make, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Now all I have to add is some ribbon to staple gun to the back, so I can hang it on a nail on the wall.

I first saw this idea maybe a year ago, and I'm sure it's been around way longer than that, but I finally got around to trying it out yesterday and it's superrad!

It's the same concept as the classic toothbrush bracelet, so the directions are basically the same: put vintage plastic knitting needles in boiling water till they're pliable, then bend them as you choose.
Here is a blog post on diylife about the bracelets, and another on Elliphantom Knits with a basic how-to and some great looking...

I keep a folder on my computer entitled ‘inspiration’ and here I save a variety of images ranging from pretty items, diy ideas, magazine editorials, a ton of street style shots and the like. A while back I came across this picture on the facehunter and immediately saved it, I fell in love with the bow tie necklace! It’s so simple yet so stylish and above all a cinch to throw together, all you need to do is attach a bow to a chain. You can either connect the bow to the chain with a small safety...

My jewelry collection is made up of beautiful vintage pieces handed down to me from my mom and grandmother, and new, fun pieces I have found on my own. My fantastic fiance` has given me a fair share of bling through the years, and I have found some favorites at flea markets and antique stores. My problem is always how to store and organize these lovely pieces in a way that does them justice.

Most people have a ton of jewelry and accessories; the trick is how to organize. This week we make a DIY earring screen and display it in vintage pieces. We also reveal who won the Tool Box Contest and show you a tutorial of their winning project.
